To: All ACRE Local 1 Members
From: The Officers of ACRE Local 1
In light of our ongoing identity theft difficulties, the MTA Police are
working with the United States Postal Inspection Service regarding the
unsolicited bulk mailings recently sent to our members.
Relative to that investigation, many members have expressed their desire to
be removed from the UTU/Art May mailing list. The U.S. Postal Service and
MTA Police have recommended the following procedures for stopping these
unsolicited mailings:
Send a certified letter to the UTU instructing them to cease and desist
sending you further correspondence and to immediately remove you from the
UTU and Art May mailing list.
Members who have received undesired, unsolicited mail should cross out their
name and write "Return To Sender" in black marker on the outside of the
envelope and place it back in the mail.
In an effort to simplify the process, we have made a letter available for
your use in this matter. If you would like to be removed from the UTU/Arthur
May mailing list, please sign the letter available at the link below and
return it to our union office. The letter is saved as a .pdf file and
requires Acrobat Reader which is available free by clicking on the Adobe
link at our website.
Our office will forward your letters via certified
mail to the offending parties.
