                                                Tribute to a Brother

As you know, Metro North moves a ton of people. After 31 years on the job they rarely
move me (at least not emotionally). However, the following photos shared by Brent van Dorp
are moving and phenomenal. Metro North has been in the process of rebuilding and repainting
their Genesis engines.

The following photo is of newly repainted engine 213

Our members who work bombardier trains are aware that Genesis engine 213 was dedicated
several years ago to the memory of Vice-President Richard Kirner by including his signature on
the shell of the engine as shown below.

Engine 213 was just rebuilt and repainted. Richard Kirner's signature has been repainted on the
shell and is now joined by the signature of his son, engineer Tom Kirner, whose loss we continue
to mourn.

This tribute to a member of our organization is a testament to how many people Tom positively
affected. His memory lives on in the hearts and minds of his co-workers.
